Online Civil War Diaries Archives Launch Party

In honor of the 150th anniversary of the Civil War, the Massachusetts Sesquicentennial Commission of the American Civil War is offering to the public its archives of diaries, letters, and other personal recollections of members of the 31st Massachusetts Infantry Regiment - which was comprised mainly of men from Belchertown, Ware, and Pittsfield, and was one of the first units to enter New Orleans in 1862.
