Rubby Wuabu is a senior at Simmons College, majoring in political science in preparation for a career as an immigration lawyer. Rubby immigrated to Worcester from Ghana when she was fourteen years old. She sits on the board of Worcester's Canal District Alliance and works as an intern for State Senator Harriette Chandler. She is a founder of the Worcester Blackstone Canal Horse and Wagon Tours and has been instrumental in attracting the involvement of other students at South High School in Worcester, the main source of student talent and the faculty oversight of humanities teachers. She is also an employee at the John F. Chafee Blackstone River Valley National Park, overseeing high school student park personnel.
