An Amherst institution for 22 years, Antonio’s knows what works—a wide variety of gourmet pizza, by
the pie and the slice—and sticks with it, while occasionally mixing things up. Recently, the shop made
its first foray into dessert pizza: a Nutella base topped with fruit, chocolate, Graham crackers and
marshmallows. Open from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m, Antonio’s is perhaps best known for its late-night crowd,
which manager Jay Carreiro has learned to take in his stride over his nine years at Antonio’s: “You’ve
just got to let things roll off your back. You’ve got to have fun with it.”
