When the infectiously gracious morning radio duo (and married couple) gave up a bit of precious family time to visit our Best of the Valley open house, we did what any too-cool-for-school alt weekly would do: tested their mettle with an utterly random and disconnected Q and A:
If you were a movie, how would you be rated?
Kim: PG.
Dan: PG-17
When you think of your audience, whom do you see?
Kim: Commuter Mom!
Dan: Kim's sister, who says, "[Mix 93.1] is the one station I'm not frightened to turn on with kids in the car."
If you weren't radio stars, what would you be doing?
Kim: Librarian.
Dan: 20 more years in the Marine Corp.
What's your favorite charity?
Kim and Dan: Katelynn's Ride [for cancer research. This year's event is scheduled for June 5, 2011 at Hampshire College.]
