Cooley Dickinson Hospital

Since its opening in 1998, Cooley Dickinson Hospital's birthing center has cultivated a mantra of choice: women can choose between midwives or physicians, a spectrum of care encompassing many options in natural and medically assisted birth, and three different area practices, including Hampshire Ob-Gyn, WomanCare and Cooley Dickinson's own on-campus midwifery center. Facilities are equipped 24/7 with anesthesiologists, surgical techs and pediatric hospitalists, can provide C-sections at any time, and employ an infant security system to keep your baby safe. Mothers-to-be are welcome to bring friends and family, including other children. The center has one birthing tub for those interested in water birth; all birthing rooms have jacuzzi tubs; and post-partum amenities include rooms with double beds, food and beverages and a nursing and housekeeping staff. The goal is to provide women and families with the best birthing experience possible.
