There are cell phones, and then there's the iPhone. Cell phones are portable telephones with some accessories attached. An iPhone is a tool, a toy, and an entertainment center all rolled into one elegant device; the ability to make calls is included in its array of options, but it's an option some people don't even use. Increasingly, cell phone makers are trying to make their machines look and act more like Apple's product, but they mostly fall short and feel like forgeries. Nothing compares with the intuitive, sweeping navigation and sleek design. It's the kind of device that would have made even Kirk and Spock feel jealous.
