Edibles and Eateries
Imported beer
For over 200 years, brewers at St. James Gate in Dublin have been producing one of the world's most popular beers—and the most recognizable. Still, in some ways the beer is misunderstood. While some refer to it as "a meal in a glass," it's actually got fewer calories (170) than many other non-light beers and is relatively low in alcohol compared to other beers of its kind (4.3 percent). Additionally, though it appears to be black, brewers insist the color is a very dark shade of ruby.
