Boston-based Samuel Adams isn't just popular in the Valley; it's America's top-selling domestic beer. Samuel Adams Brewery Company was founded in 1984, and many credit owner and head brewer Jim Koch with launching the microbrew renaissance of the 1990s. Starting with its Boston Lager, Samuel Adams has added dozens of varieties to its lineup since then, including seasonal beers, a "Brewmaster's Collection," an Imperial series, a "Barrel Room Collection," and several specialty beers.
