Competition in this category is stiff given the Valley's love affair with local farms and CSAs, so Mountain View's repeated victories say a lot about the place. "Everybody loves their farm," says Liz Adler, co-owner with husband Ben Perrault. For $20 or $25 a week (the farm offers shares on a sliding scale), members get a generous share of organically grown produce, including pick-your-own berries, tomatoes, beans and cut-your-own flowers. This year, the farm's 1,200 members will find a new kids' play area, an opportunity to buy local meat, and an expanded schedule with five pickup days. Sound good? Mountain View still has some shares left this year.
