State Street's deli offers a diverse menu, says head chef and manager Rebekah Trieschman, from comfort foods (mac and cheese, shepherd's pie) to more exotic items than you'd usually find at a local deli, like jambalaya and moussaka, plus special vegan and gluten-free options and a wide selection of imported cheeses. Assistant manager Jess Tanner says devoted customers value the hearty, home-cooked menu made with fresh and local ingredients. "They come because they know it's food made with love," she says.
