Maximum Capacity

There's a good reason that Chicopee's Maximum Capacity won top honors for Best Rock Club, Best Nightclub and Best Place to See Local Bands, says owner Donnie Robert: "We're putting an entire city's worth of nightlife under one roof." With two stages on two floors and plenty of elbow room for patrons, Max Cap not only features a huge number of different bands but a huge number of local bands, becoming a launching pad for young talent in the Valley and a place that big names like Fear Nuttin Band, Aquanett, DPR and SwillMerchants call home. "We have a New York club atmosphere with something for everybody," says Robert, who adds that Max Cap will open an outdoor patio this summer and upgrade its lighting and sound systems in the coming months.
