A perennial winner in the Best Hospital category, Baystate each year sends a different group of employees to represent them in the "Advocate" photo shoot; this year, it was a group of nurses, in recognition of Baystate's recent recertification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Magnet Hospital for nursing excellence. That hard-to-get honor recognizes achievement in numerous areas, including leadership, clinical patient outcomes, nursing education and hospital culture. Earning the recognition "is a lot of work.
