Owners Jack and Priscilla Finn started A2Z 23 years ago, and have expanded from a general "science and learning" store to an emphasis-on-actual-activity (as opposed to virtual activity) game stop for all ages. Always on the lookout for new things at trade shows and conferences, the Finns have discovered a new trend in hands-on edu-tainment: Green Science Kits. That's right: with the help of A2Z's informed, engaged staff, the ambitious, would-be Lincoln Log architect can now build windmills, fuel-cell cars, hydro-energy projects and even solar-powered machines. Sunday, April 25 marks A2Z's return to sponsoring the Northeast Regional Yo-Yo championships at JFK Middle School in Northampton, where contestants from all over the Northeast try to qualify for the kinetic pastime's nationals.
