Owner Debra Flynn attributes the success of this Northampton institution to consistent quality in both the service and the food—the latter, she says, thanks to long-time chef Jake Perkins. The restaurant, she says, is committed to buying as much fresh, local food as possible, and purchasing seafood from three suppliers so the restaurant always has fresh fish available. Eastside is also committed to creating a warm, inviting atmosphere that Flynn calls "upscale casual," a place for celebrating special occasions or enjoying a reasonably priced meal with friends or family.
