"Easthampton is on the cusp. There's some great things happening in Easthampton," says Mike Vito, who last year opened Venus and The Cellar Bar with partners Lisa Fusco and Casey Douglass. The three have added to that vibe with a warm-but-hip atmosphere and a creative menu (in both the restaurant and the downstairs bar) courtesy of chefs Daniel Pfeiffer-Katz and Josean Jiminez. "We like a place where people feel really comfortable," says Vito, who adds customers often tell him walking into the place makes them feel like they're in New York City.
