Bad economic times are clearly great for thrift stores. The Salvation Army already has five stores in the Pioneer Valley, and in the past year their Greenfield and Turners Falls locations were renovated and expanded. Proceeds from the stores fund a regional adult rehabilitation center with 70 beds for men dealing with substance abuse. Shop on!
