The Student Prince first opened in 1935, and in 1947 it expanded with The Fort dining room for more formal dining. Rudi Scherff, general manager, and Barbara Meunier, partner, have brought interesting innovations—their last Octoberfest combined Hispanic and German culture, with wandering mariachis and an oompah band. This landmark restaurant also recently made it to "Gourmet Magazine's" "21 Legendary American Restaurants You Must Visit."
