Presented by the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce, the Green River Festival is one of the Valley's biggest outdoor events of the summer, combining music on two stages, food, crafts, dancing, a wide array of kids' activities and, weather permitting, hot air balloon launches. The musical talent arriving in Greenfield for last year's event included Lucinda Williams, Mavis Staples and Jimmie Vaughan. This year's festival runs July 17 and 18.
