E.J. Barkett is the third Barkett to own White Hut, now in its 69th year of offering fresh (not frozen) hamburgers and hot dogs, cooked to order. Barkett says the White Hut's charm is in the fact that there are different faces behind the counter now, but everything is still done the same way. There's no menu, and the square white 700-square-foot building only houses 12 stools and a counter, but everyone from pinstripes to patches flocks to this World War II-era classic.
