The Loose Goose was conceived as a jazz night club until Larry and Jacky Severance found a deli space for sale. Thus evolved a jazz-inspired café, which serves breakfast and lunch sandwiches (heavy on local ingredients and inspired condiments like roasted shallot mayo and cranberry-orange ginger chutney) as well as organic fair-trade coffee. All their sandwiches are named after jazz greats—the most popular (not surprisingly) is The Miles, which comes with chicken breast, avocado, muenster cheese, spinach and roasted shallot mayo.
