Judie, manager and co-owner of the eponymous Judie's, describes her conception of food as art: she was born into a family of musicians, and cooking and baking were her artistic outlet. And the salads and desserts she describes ? repeat winners in their respective categories ? certainly sound like works of art. Standout items include the meticulously crafted "Souper" (comprised of soup, salad, and one of the restaurant's famed popovers), which still elicits customer raves, and Bananas Foster, a decadent, "multimedia" dessert (ingredients include ice cream, carmelized bananas, brown sugar rum sauce and whipped cream).
