Though many of the specials on the menu of Springfield's The Student Prince and Fort Restaurant may be difficult to pronounce or spell (weinerschnitzel?) co-owner Rudi Scherff describes the cuisine as "meat and potatoes." The restaurant's made a name for itself with its record Spaten beer sales (it sells more of the German brew than any other restaurant in the country) and its folksy German décor and spirit ? don't miss Octoberfest, when staff don lederhosen and dirndl skirts.
