Kevin McMillan, director of guided programs for Zoar Outdoor in Charlemont, gets ready to take off and comes in for a landing during a recent unveiling of Zoar's new zip line canopy tour. Months of work on the treetop zip line system is scheduled to be complete in time for a June 1 opening. The expansion into canopy touring, part of a trend known as geotourism, provides Zoar with an additional attraction to its established touring business that includes rafting, canoeing, kayaking, biking, fly fishing and rock climbing. Zoar won't have the market entirely cornered. Across Route 2 at Berkshire East Ski Resort, work is under way on a zip line tour that is scheduled to open in mid-June and turn the ski area into a four-season destination.

How high is the zip line from the ground? I have tried zip line under forest and ocean view. The adrenaline rush was awesome!
