This week, guest conductor/composer Michael Shapiro and 15 members of the The Springfield Symphony Orchestra offer a live soundtrack to the 1931 Halloween classic Frankenstein. Halloween-ready visitors can show up early for a pre-show costume contest.

A few nights later, the Bing Arts Center in Springfield offers a live soundtrack to the 1920 film The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari. The music, composed by Brendan Cooney, is played by the ensemble Not So Silent Cinema.
