If you’ve ever met the man known as Dancing Larry, you know he’s as generous and friendly a soul as you’re likely to meet. He’s been a longtime fixture in the Valley, dancing with joy at local music shows for years. Play a show with him at the front of the crowd, and you’re guaranteed to feel like a rock star, even if there’s a crowd of three or four.

This week, there’s a benefit for Larry happening at the Elevens (on April 6). Alas, word arrived too late for our print edition, but if there’s any local music event you ought to attend, it’s this one.

Larry has, unfortunately, lost most of his vision because of complications from a spinal malady. The benefit goes to help cover the considerable expenses he’s incurred.
