We waited for June 11th, 2011 for more than two-and-a-half years, so when the time came for us to be married in front of all our family and friends, we could not have been more ecstatic!  With the help of wedding planner extraordinare David Tutera, we pulled off our “Modern Boston” themed affair.  Although we wanted a formal occasion, we chose to add personal touches everywhere we could.  David executed our wish of a crisp white ethereal ceremony, where we were married by the same family friend who married my (the Bride’s) parents thirty years ago.  Ben (the Groom) wore sapphire and diamond cuff links belonging to my late grandfather, and instead of a traditional benediction, both sets of parents came up to the altar to give us a blessing they had each written themselves.

Despite loving all the details we had planned so long for, it was some of the more unexpected moments that we treasure more so:  The few minutes we had alone before we walked into the reception together, the gut-busting speech given by my brother, all four of my bridesmaids holding my dress above my head in the handicap stall, our parents dancing with each other, and swapping partners, after taking ballroom lessons for months prior to the big day!  It was everything we had hoped for and more, and we feel so lucky to have been surrounded by all of our closest family and friends for the biggest moment of our lives.
