After living in New Orleans in the late '90s, former Tarot card reader and zookeeper Laurel Hausler began to paint. Over the last decade, the expressionist painter, whose works share a likeness to those of Frida Kahlo and Edvard Munch, developed a cult following. This month in Brattleboro, Hausler exhibits My House is Haunted, 20 oil paintings, including "In the Attic," which is pictured, representing a room or part of the grounds of fictional haunted houses.
